Nasi Lemak


Ingredients:
Sambal (Blended)
10 shallots
2 cloves of garlic
1 cm of belacan
5 red chilies (more if you want it more spicy)
2 cm of ginger

Rice
2 pandan leaves
a few slices of ginger
coconut milk (depending on how much rice you are cooking)

Steps:
1. Wash your rice (like usual) and use coconut milk instead of water to cook your rice. Tie a knot with 2 pandan leaves and add into the rice cooker. Add along a few slices of ginger.
2. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil and saute blended sambal until fragrant and oil is separated from the sambal. Add 2-3 tablespoons of sambal olek and stir until thoroughly. Taste with salt and sugar.
3. Serve it with roasted peanuts ,deep fried anchovies and slice cucumbers.
